There was a time when I read a lot of Japanese novels.
私は日本の小説をよく読んだことがある。
There are times when Takashi goes to school without eating breakfast.
たかしは朝ご飯を食べずに学校へ行くことがある。

ことができる
For Mr. Ito speaking in English is possible.
伊藤さんは英語を話すことが出来る。
(it will be decided that–; come about—; be arranged that–; turn out that–)
ことになる
It has been decided that I will be employed at a company beginning next month.
私は来月から会社に勤めることになりました。
(decide to)
ことにする
I decided to quit my company.
私は会社をやめることにしました。
I make it a rule to exercise for about 15 minutes every day.
私は毎日15分ぐらい運動をすることにしている。
(indeed one does s.t. alright, (but–); indeed—(but–); do—(but–)
ことは
I (indeed) could buy a ticket for the Boston Symphony alright, but it was a very bad seat.
ボストン シンフォニーの切符は買えたことは買えましたが、大変悪い席でした。
