Airports and Airplanes in Japan

Japan Loves Stripes: Hates Individuality

Airports

Haneda Airport

There are 2 domestic terminals, and 2 international terminals. Japanese domestic travel is mainly covered by 2 leading airlines; JAL and ANA. Their routes cover major cities in Japan. Other options such as Skymark, Star Flyer, Skynet Asia Airways and Air-Do fly within regional areas only and have limited flights but the prices are usually more economical.
The relatively new and expanded international terminal started operating in 2010, and regular flights to Asia, Europe and USA are available. You can book a flight at the airline counter, with a travel agent, by telephone or over the internet on the airlines’ websites. Booking via the internet is particularly advantageous because they often have special lower priced fares available.
